About The Position

Lorien Harmony Hall is hiring a Maintenance Technician to help ensure our community remains safe, functional, and welcoming for residents, staff, and visitors. This role is essential in supporting patient care by maintaining the building, equipment, and grounds through proper, safe, and timely repairs. Lorien Harmony Hall, located in Columbia, Maryland, is a family-owned assisted living community with a long-standing tradition of compassionate care. As one of the first all-assisted living facilities in Maryland, it has spent decades helping seniors live with dignity, purpose, and comfort. While its roots are strong, its approach is modern, continuously embracing advancements in medicine and technology to enhance both care and quality of life for residents. Lorien Harmony Hall shares its campus with its sister facility, Lorien Columbia Nursing Home, and has a newest addition: Harmony Park, a dedicated Memory Care unit designed to meet the unique needs of residents living with dementia and Alzheimer’s. Requirements

  • Must be 21 years or older
  • Demonstrate strong HVAC knowledge or hold relevant certification
  • Previous maintenance or related experience

Nice To Haves

  • Apply carpentry skills when necessary (preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Complete work and repair orders accurately and in a timely manner
  • Perform routine preventive maintenance inside and outside the facility
  • Oversee work performed by outside contractors as needed
  • Use maintenance tools and equipment safely and effectively
  • Troubleshoot and perform repairs in plumbing, electrical, and painting tasks
  • Handle physically demanding tasks as required
  • Bring previous maintenance or related experience to support daily operations
