Real Estate / Facilities (REF) provides support for office needs including leasing, space planning, rent payment, construction, property management, and furniture and move coordination. REF’s Property Management team is looking for a Maintenance Technician. This individual will work full-time out of the downtown Cincinnati office.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Generally, a minimum of 1 year of experience in building maintenance or a related field.
  • Maintains working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general building systems.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Essential job functions must be performed onsite.
  • Requires continuous and prolonged walking and standing.
  • Requires frequent lifting, carrying, pushing and pulling of objects up to 50 lbs.
  • Requires frequent climbing, bending, twisting, stooping, kneeling and crawling.
  • Requires overhead reaching and grabbing.
  • Requires regular and predictable attendance (may be required to work in a physical office location).
  • Requires ability to conduct visual inspections.
  • Requires work outdoors, in inclement weather conditions.
  • May require ability to operate a motor vehicle.

Responsibilities

  • Performs routine inspections and preventive maintenance on HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and lighting systems.
  • Responds promptly to maintenance requests and troubleshoots issues in office spaces, common areas, and building systems.
  • Maintains and repairs office furniture, fixtures, and minor structural components.
  • Provides grounds maintenance support, including removal of snow and ice.
  • Coordinates with external vendors and contractors for specialized repairs or installations.
  • Ensures compliance with company and regulatory safety programs.
  • Maintains accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs.
  • Supports emergency response protocols and assist with disaster recovery efforts when needed.
  • Assists with office moves, furniture setups, and workspace reconfigurations.
  • May provide janitorial support.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
