A JLL Maintenance Technician performs preventative and corrective maintenance on building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, life safety) and equipment, responds to service requests, troubleshoots issues, manages work orders via CMMS , and may oversee contractors, ensuring facility safety, functionality, and compliance, requiring strong technical skills, adaptability, and teamwork to support property operations .

Requirements

  • Technical Aptitude: Competency with electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to diagnose and resolve issues efficiently.
  • Adaptability: Respond to changing tenant needs and building priorities.
  • Teamwork: Collaborate with managers and other staff.
  • Physical Ability: Capable of physical tasks like lifting, bending, and working on ladders.

Responsibilities

  • Preventative Maintenance : Conduct routine inspections, lubrication, and maintenance on mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
  • Corrective Maintenance : Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair equipment and building systems (boilers, chillers, lighting, etc.).
  • Work Order Management : Utilize a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to manage and close out service requests.
  • System Support : Maintain and monitor Building Automation Systems (BAS), Energy Management Systems (EMS), and other controls.
  • Safety & Compliance : Adhere to safety procedures, conduct safety checks, and ensure compliance with standards.
  • Vendor Coordination : Assist in overseeing and managing third-party contractors for specialized work.
  • General Repairs : Perform handyman tasks, carpentry, painting, and other general facility upkeep.
