About The Position

This is more than a technical job; it's a direct contribution to public safety. As a Service Technician, you are on the front lines, deploying and maintaining Acusensus’s world-leading technology. Your expertise ensures our systems for detecting distracted driving are operational, making a measurable, positive impact on communities by saving lives and avoiding injuries every day. This role is based in Connecticut and reports to the Operations Manager with functional or dotted line relationship to the Senior Service Technician.

Requirements

  • Trade or university qualification in either electronic, electrical or computer related fields or relevant demonstrated experience.
  • Electronic/electrical knowledge and ability to read, create and/or modify technical diagrams, drawings, schematics or plans
  • Mechanical and small diesel engine knowledge and skills
  • Fault finding using appropriate knowledge, measurement tools and aids
  • Full drivers license
  • Be familiar and confident with computers/IT based work, understanding of networking
  • Command Line and PowerShell experience
  • Knowledge of Networking equipment (switches, patch panels, VLAN routers, firewalls, VPN, etc.)
  • Candidates must have full work authorization in the US.
  • technical fault finding, diagnosis, repair of electronics: 5 years (Required)
  • Driver's License (Required)

Nice To Haves

  • knowledge of UNIX Systems would be highly regarded

Responsibilities

  • Deployment of Acusensus’ solutions to the client’s schedule
  • Maintaining the performance of the delivery of services to meet and exceed our customer’s needs!
  • Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance and repair activities to our hardware and fleet
  • New site surveys to assess the suitability of locations for the deployment of the solution
