About The Position

Quanex is looking for a Maintenance Technician - 2nd shift to join our team located in Owatonna, Minnesota. The hours for this role are Monday - Thursday, 3:30pm - 2am. In this role you are responsible for repairing machinery as required. You will also actively participate in maintenance, failure avoidance, failure elimination, and continuous improvement maintenance functions. We Offer You! Knowledge of electrical, PLCs, and schematics. Operate basic and advanced shop tools as required to maintain or repair equipment. Have a clear understanding of Lockout Tagout (LOTO). Maintain written documentation of work performed. What You Bring: High School Diploma or GED. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to train others as needed. Ability to read drawings, blueprints, and hydraulic schematics. Experience with fabrication, changing out cylinders, oils, solvents, greases. General construction knowledge. The hourly wage for this position starts at $24.00 per hour with an additional $2.50 per hour in shift differential.
