The Maintenance Technician helps keep a high-performing facility running safely and reliably every day. This is steady work with full benefits, where your skills are valued and your role matters. Working with a strong team, you’ll maintain and support the building’s core systems—handling inspections, repairs, and preventative maintenance that keep everything operating as it should. More than routine maintenance, this position contributes directly to operational readiness, energy and water performance, and the Library’s sustainability commitments. From preventive maintenance and system inspections to issue identification and documentation, each task supports a building that functions as a living system aligned with Theodore Roosevelt’s values of responsibility, care, and stewardship. Reporting to the Manager of Facilities and Infrastructure, the Maintenance Technician works collaboratively with facilities, grounds, environmental services, and sustainability teams to ensure building systems remain safe, resilient, and mission-aligned.
