Job Title: Maintenance Technician - 1st shift Reporting To: Manager, SDG Facilities Maint Work Schedule: Onsite – Niagara Falls, NY Moog is the world-wide leader of advanced flight controls and actuation for commercial and military aircraft. Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED preferred. Otherwise, demonstrated ability to understand and apply all verbal, written and computer work instructions or training in English, and demonstrated ability to perform simple addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience, in a manufacturing environment, concentrating in maintenance or relevant experience in a mechanical/electrical or technical field is preferred.
  • Proficiency with basic hand and power tools and a working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and HVAC systems.
  • The role is often physically demanding, requiring the ability to lift heavy objects, climb ladders, and perform strenuous manual labor in various weather conditions.
  • A certification in steam boilers or be willing to attend school 1 day per week to obtain this certification.

Nice To Haves

  • Associates degree in a technical field or additional secondary training in a technical field is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Be responsible for testing/maintaining and running steam boilers.
  • Troubleshooting, maintain and repair plumbing and heating systems. This can include tasks like changing light bulbs, fixing leaks, or minor carpentry.
  • Provide ongoing support for facility systems including preventative maintenance and modifications, including HVAC, power distribution, and process water systems.
  • Maintaining the facility's exterior, including landscaping, snow removal, and parking lot upkeep.
  • Conducting regular inspections of the facility and its equipment to identify issues and ensure compliance with safety standards and building codes. This includes fire and life safety systems.
  • Ability to support Hot Fire testing operations as required.
  • Willing to be a member of the Safety Committee.
