The Maintenance Technician is responsible for installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining plant equipment to support safe, reliable operations and the achievement of plant business goals and objectives. Perform a wide range of mechanical, electrical, and controls‑related maintenance activities to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production machinery used in the manufacture of heavy‑ and medium‑duty truck transmissions. Diagnose equipment issues; repair or replace components; test, adjust, and verify proper operation using a strong working knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems. Utilize machine‑level and OEM software for troubleshooting and repair, including Fanuc robots and controls, NC/CNC equipment, PLCs, and drive systems. Perform scheduled preventive and predictive maintenance on machines and equipment to support equipment reliability and uptime. Read and interpret electrical and electronic schematics, hydraulic and pneumatic diagrams, mechanical blueprints, equipment manuals, and work orders to perform required maintenance tasks. Support a culture of continuous improvement and teamwork to achieve departmental and plant objectives. Maintain assigned work areas in accordance with 6S standards and actively participate in department and team housekeeping efforts. Identify and report abnormal conditions, safety concerns, and defective materials to the coach or appropriate leadership. Participate in training and continuously update technical skills to adapt to new machinery, equipment, and emerging technologies.
