About The Position

Join our PALFINGER team as a 1st Shift Maintenance Technician, responsible for ensuring our equipment and facility operate safely and efficiently. This role reports to Maintenance Leadership and plays a key part in supporting production uptime and overall operational performance. You'll work hands-on with machinery, troubleshoot issues, and perform preventive maintenance to keep operations running smoothly. This position must be based onsite at our Council Bluffs, IA location during 1st shift hours.

Requirements

Previous experience in industrial maintenance, equipment repair, or a similar technical field.
Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to diagnose and resolve issues across multiple systems.
Basic knowledge of electrical systems, pneumatics, hydraulics, and troubleshooting methods.
Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and follow safety procedures.
Willingness to support overtime or additional shifts as needed.

Responsibilities

Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on production machinery, equipment, and facility systems.
Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues to minimize downtime.
Document maintenance activities, repairs, and parts usage accurately and in a timely manner.
Support continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance equipment performance and safety.
Collaborate with production and maintenance leadership to ensure reliable equipment operation.
