About The Position

About the Role In this position, you will drive a continuous improvement culture that will maximize capabilities and efficiencies in our distribution centers. You will Try Fast, Learn Fast and Think Big as you develop, implement, maintain material handling equipment (MHE) and property maintenance. You will identify and troubleshoot basic mechanical failure and safely operate warehouse equipment and machinery. What You'll Do Perform basic facility repairs and or mechanical repairs on equipment associated with warehouse distribution, while maintaining/obtaining a PIV license to operate all PIV equipment needed at your assigned location Perform basic electrical skills – the ability to use a voltage meter, verifying circuits are de energized for lighting system repairs. Perform basic PM’s on all associated equipment – including identification of damaged or defective equipment and repair in a timely manner. Develop positive cross functional internal and external relationships with the focus on delivering targeted results that improve the overall occupancy experience, operating efficiency, and site reliability Use established tools and procedures to identify, organize and categorize information Effectively utilize all typical maintenance shop equipment (i.e. mig & arc welding, torch, drill press, grinders, etc..) and have operational knowledge of mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
