This Maintenance Technician role supports a 24/7 production tire plant, maintaining optimal functionality within an assigned production area. The technician will partner with the Engineering team to install, test, and release equipment. A core responsibility is ensuring safe work practices and compliance with all safety regulations. The role involves maintaining equipment critical to industrial production, industrial processing, pipeline distribution systems, and conveyors. The technician will utilize a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to record maintenance activities and maintain accurate records. The position requires a strong understanding of various Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and proficiency in Networking and Communications, specifically EtherNet/IP, ControlNet, and DeviceNet. Key responsibilities include troubleshooting AC Drives, Motors, Encoders, and Resolvers, as well as the calibration of flow, level, pressure, and temperature devices and loops. The technician will also work with bearings, conveying systems, gearboxes, equipment rebuilds, and repairs. The role requires familiarity with automation and distributed control system architectures within manufacturing and processing systems, as well as hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems, and rotating equipment. The Maintenance Technician must be able to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, manuals, technical drawings, work orders, test results, and machine error messages. Daily tasks include inspecting parts for damage/wear, testing and observing running machinery, and utilizing hoists, lifts, grinders, hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and testing equipment. Additional duties may be assigned as needed. The position reports directly to the Area Maintenance Supervisor.
