JOB SUMMARY: At this time, we are seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to join our team in performing repairs and preventative maintenance on industrial machinery and production equipment at our manufacturing plant in Culpeper, Virginia. The Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring that the assigned department(s) are maintained in good working order in a manner that prevents disruption of the site’s operations and is in accordance with OSHA safety standards. The Maintenance Technician ensures implementation of short and long-term strategies for preventative maintenance scheduling and execution, for timely corrective actions, and for general site maintenance needs. PRINCIPAL FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Consistently works in a safe manner with regard to self, co-workers, and manufacturing systems. Complies with applicable OSHA regulations, Cabinetworks Group H&S policies and EPA regulations. Diagnose, reports, and repairs sub-standard equipment by troubleshooting to the component level. Prepares for use, performs operational checks, inspects and completes routine repairs and major overhauls with little or no immediate supervision. Requests, withdraws parts from inventory, and replace defective or worn parts to make all necessary adjustments for the proper operation of the equipment. Demonstrates the ability to prevent equipment down time through observation, communication with production staff and maintenance leadership. Assists engineers in diagnosing problems and suggests corrective action. Contributes in team decision making. Provide support in project work and other special requests. Continuously reviewing current processes and searching out improvement methods to improve product/process quality and reduce waste, rework, and unnecessary work that adds no value to the work or process. Communicates and documents all work performed in CMMS (Limble), in compliance with work order process guidelines. Improvising acceptable fixes to get equipment running promptly. Assisting and supporting other team members in meeting department and site goals. Performing general housekeeping tasks and waste removal within the department/group and assists other areas as required.
