About The Position

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the overall maintenance and repair of the facilities on Midwestern University Glendale Campus. This individual provides general assistance to all other departments/sections as needed. This position will report to the Maintenance Supervisor.

  • High School diploma or general education degree (GED) is required.
  • 1-2 years of building maintenance required.
  • Must have valid driver’s license is required.
  • Computer proficiency in MS Office Word.
  • Excel knowledge is desired.

Nice To Haves

  • One-year certificate from college or technical school desired.

Responsibilities

  • Installs, maintains and repairs minor plumbing, electrical and structural systems campus-wide.
  • Events and classroom setups such as setting up tables/chairs and opening/closing moveable walls.
  • General maintenance of campus facilities to include: interior and exterior painting work.
  • repair of interior/exterior floors and walls.
  • Installs and removes outdoor signs, parking signs, traffic control barriers and overhead banners as required.
  • Moves furniture, filing cabinets and desks, etc.
  • Operates pick-up trucks.
  • Operates and maintain power and hand tools.
  • Cleans work areas, tools and equipment.
  • Other duties as assigned.
