About The Position

As a Maintenance Technician, you will carry out accurate and efficient production line changeovers as well as machine trouble -shooting, repairs, and critical equipment breakdown maintenance to ensure machinery and equipment are operating efficiently with the maximum amount of up -time. They need candidates with strong troubleshooting and repair experience with mechanical systems, so a strong background in hydraulics and pneumatic, experience with gearboxes, bearings, pumps and other mechanical systems is important for this role. It is a 75% mechanical maintenance role but they also want candidates with basic electrical experience, so any experience with AC & DC motors, drives and motor controls will be helpful but they have a Project Manager and Controls Engineer that handle PLC's and more advanced electrical issues. They have one role open on 2nd shift which is 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM. If you have any changeover experience, changing the production line from producing one product to another, it would be beneficial for this role, along with troubleshooting and repair maintenance experience. They also have 2 roles open on a new 3rd shift they have just started that is running from 11 PM to 7:30 AM. They stop production during this shift so you will be doing mostly preventative maintenance. They are both Monday - Friday shifts with some overtime and some weekend projects that are usually Saturday only but overtime is not the norm here, you will be guaranteed a 40 hour week. On the job training will be on first shift for 7 weeks, depending on how long it takes you to get up to speed. They have 3 maintenance techs on the first shift and 2 on this 2nd shift. Primary Responsibilities : Performs production line changeovers according to current specifications and guidelines. Improves changeover effectiveness and efficiency by developing detailed documentation and procedures. Follows pre -established guidelines for making timely, consistent and accurate repairs and completes all required paperwork associated with repairs Performs high quality maintenance work in accordance with written procedures and SOPs Basic Troubleshooting of AC variable frequency drives, AC & DC motors, DC drives, and other motor control circuits Troubleshoots discrete and analog sensors including pressure, temperature, flow, photo -electric, and inductive proximity, as well as PLCs and pLC controlled systems and machines Diagnoses and repairs gearboxes, bearings, pumps and other mechanical and hydraulic systems Participates in new equipment installation, validation and start up processes Requirements At least 3 years of industrial maintenance experience. Will consider military experience if similar to industrial environment Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision. Requirements
