Our 285,000 sq. ft. facility, located just off I-55 in Pontiac, IL, is equipped with the technology, equipment, and warehouse space to receive, store, assemble, package, label, and manage products and 3PL services for our national customer base. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • High level of mechanical aptitude with demonstrated troubleshooting capability.
  • Welding skills and basic forklift/rolling stock mechanical experience.
  • Willingness to learn packaging equipment not limited to conveyors, case erectors, stretch/shrink wrappers, ovens.
  • Ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues not limited to belt tracking, misalignment, worn parts and air leaks.
  • Technical experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, industrial controls, and three-phase electrical systems.
  • Comfortable with basic 110v electrical work not limited to sensors, switches, motors and relays
  • Willingness to learn Allen-Bradley PLC basics
  • Basic understanding of pneumatics or willingness to learn
  • Ability to work independently with little supervision.

Responsibilities

  • Light building maintenance, not limited to lighting, minor repairs, and basic plumbing
  • Basic forklift/rolling stock maintenance and preventive maintenance
  • Troubleshoot complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and control system issues.
  • Responds immediately to emergency equipment breakdowns and prioritizes repairs to restore production safely and efficiently.
  • Support and execute machine changeovers and production line setup to meet operational demands.
  • Drive proactive and creative problem-solving to minimize downtime and improve equipment reliability.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety policies, regulatory requirements, and best practices, keeping safety front of mind at all times.
  • Apply strong mechanical aptitude to diagnose and resolve equipment issues efficiently.
  • Utilize knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, controls, and three-phase wiring (preferred) to support troubleshooting and improvements.
  • Manage shop supplies and spare parts inventory, including forecasting, replenishment, and cost control.
  • Maintain organized maintenance records, documentation, and asset histories.
  • Identify opportunities for reliability improvements, cost savings, and operational efficiencies.
  • Collaborate with operations, quality, and safety teams to support plant objectives
  • Other duties and responsibilities as required
