About The Position

This position is responsible for working closely with management, maintenance, and production staff to keep production equipment and plant facilities in a safe and efficient working manner. This position is responsible to complete all assigned preventative maintenance (PM) duties including schedule tasks as described in the Master Sanitation Program. This position requires that you are available for emergency call ins per schedule. Weekend hours are often worked as well as the occasional holiday. Must be able to work on own with little or no supervision and be self-motivated.

Requirements

  • Verbal and written communication skills; including ability to read, understand, and follow written procedures (SOPs)
  • Must be able to trouble shoot equipment and systems such as HVAC, refrigeration, boilers, general electrical, including VFD's.
  • Must have basic plumbing and carpentry skills.
  • Must have a basic understanding of PLC's and process engineering principles.
  • Honest and high level of Integrity,
  • High degree of personal hygiene per GMPs
  • Dependable attendance to meet business demands
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Nice To Haves

  • Food manufacturing experience preferred but not required.
  • Previous experience in maintenance or production support is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform all schedule PM's as assigned including Master Sanitation Program tasks.
  • Perform all necessary emergency and scheduled repairs on machines.
  • Maintain accurate and neat record keeping as it pertains to PM's and Master Sanitation Program.
  • Follow all Sabrosura Foods safety policies, including Lock-Out/Tag-Out (LOTO), PPE usage, and GMPs.
  • Work closely with management and factory personnel to effectively schedule, source parts/supplies for and make repairs to equipment.
  • Participate in team meetings and training sessions to grow technical knowledge.
  • Consistently shows ability to anticipate, recognize, and deal with changing situations, obstacles, & priorities in a positive manner.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by your supervisor.
