About The Position

This role ensures the safety, functionality, and cleanliness of the building by repairing structural components, performing basic plumbing and electrical tasks, maintaining dock areas, and supporting cold-storage building integrity. The technician will conduct routine inspections, respond to repair requests, and help uphold safety and regulatory standards

Requirements

Minimum 2 years of experience in building or facility maintenance.
Working knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general building repair.
Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment safely.
Ability to troubleshoot issues and work independently with minimal supervision.
Must be able to work in refrigerated and freezer environments when necessary.
Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks.
Reliable, safety-focused, and able to follow written and verbal instructions.

Responsibilities

Perform routine inspections of the facility and identify building repair needs.
Repair and maintain interior and exterior building components.
Conduct basic plumbing work such as fixing leaks, unclogging drains, and replacing fixtures.
Perform basic electrical tasks including replacing light bulbs, switches, and outlets (non-licensed work).
Maintain dock equipment such as dock plates, dock bumpers, and seals.
Repair and maintain racking systems, shelving, and general warehouse structures.
Complete minor carpentry, painting, patching, and general facility upkeep.
Maintain cooler/freezer door seals, insulated panels, and structural parts of cold-storage areas (not HVAC-related).
Ensure building and grounds remain clean, safe, and compliant with company and safety standards.
Accurately complete and update work orders; communicate repair status to supervisors.
Assist with vendors for specialized repairs when needed.
