About The Position

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining, repairing, and ensuring the proper functioning of equipment, machinery, and facility systems within the dental laboratory. This role supports uninterrupted lab operations by addressing maintenance needs promptly while ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards. Schedule 2-3 Day Flex (~20 hours / week)

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required
Proven experience in maintenance, facilities, or technical repair (manufacturing or laboratory environment preferred)
Basic knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems
Ability to troubleshoot and problem-solve efficiently
Familiarity with safety regulations and preventative maintenance practices
Strong communication and organizational skills
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and climb as needed
Comfortable working around machinery and tools

Nice To Haves

Experience in a dental laboratory, medical facility, or manufacturing environment
HVAC or electrical certification a plus
Basic computer skills for documentation and communication

Responsibilities

Perform routine maintenance and repairs on dental laboratory equipment, including ovens, mills, compressors, vacuums, scanners, and other production machinery
Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues within the laboratory
Conduct preventative maintenance to minimize equipment downtime
Coordinate with external vendors and service providers for specialized repairs and inspections
Maintain accurate maintenance logs and service records
Ensure compliance with OSHA, safety, and infection control standards
Monitor facility systems such as HVAC, electrical, lighting, and water supply
Assist with equipment installation, relocation, and setup
Respond promptly to urgent maintenance issues that may impact production
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
