The facilities maintenance technician position is responsible for performing duties to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain various production and facility equipment. Strong troubleshooting skills required. Perform both electrical and mechanical work to makes emergency repairs from basic equipment to limit excessive downtime and production delays. Read and interpret mechanical drawings, electrical schematics and ladder diagrams. Collect and analyze data to perform root cause analysis of production equipment problems. Use hand tools, power tools, oscilloscope and modern test equipment as required. Perform facilities maintenance including light plumbing, electric, HVAC, preventive maintenance. Order and maintain critical spare parts and supplies. Follows proper lock out/tag out procedures as required. Adhere to all safety requirements and wear appropriate PPE. Maintain safe work practices at all times. Ensure good housekeeping in area where working. Knowledge of EPA and OSHA regulations. Follow detailed instructions. Learn new skills and assume new responsibilities. Must be team-oriented with the ability to work with others including engineering, quality, managers, operators, etc. Follow all 6S practices and supports continuous improvement activities.

Requirements

  • HS diploma (or equivalent, e.g. G.E.D in the US) with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience
  • Strong troubleshooting skills required

Nice To Haves

  • A good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and SAP.
