About The Position

Under direction of the Maintenance Supervisor, the Maintenance Technician is responsible for the upkeep of the equipment and facility, checking work orders daily to perform all maintenance duties and repairs, including mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic troubleshooting.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least two(2) years of Maintenance Technician experience required, preferably in a manufacturing setting
  • High degree of electrical experience. PLC/24 volt and 3 phase
  • Understanding of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems
  • Experience with building maintenance (plumbing, carpentry, painting, groundskeeping)
  • Experience providing routine preventative maintenance
  • Experience providing manufacturing equipment troubleshooting and repair

Nice To Haves

  • Electro-Mechanical degree preferred
  • Previous experience in a steel or metal shop recommended
  • Strong electrical and mechanical aptitude
  • Knowledge of lathes, mills, lasers, brake presses, shears, robotics and other manufacturing equipment highly preferred. Steel or metal shop experience a plus
  • Familiarity with typical maintenance tools and equipment
  • Ability to identify potential issues or hazards
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Attention to detail. Desire to provide quality work
  • Time management skills/ ability to prioritize

Responsibilities

  • Completes required preventive maintenance on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and other equipment
  • Troubleshoots and repairs all manufacturing equipment (Drilling machines, paint line, presses, forklifts etc.)
  • Performs routine electrical and mechanical maintenance on equipment
  • Performs general maintenance and repairs of facility and grounds (including basic carpentry, painting, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, groundskeeping etc.)
  • Inspects all building locations, and schedules repairs
  • Fabricates repair parts by using machine shop instrumentation and equipment
  • Maintains equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level
  • Uses tape measure, caliper, micrometer and other measuring tools to perform tasks accordingly
  • Supports operations as needed
