EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: High School Diploma or equivalent Accredited journeyman apprenticeship in machine repair preferred Three to five years’ experience in diversified machine operations. JOB KNOWLEDGE, ABILITIES AND SKILLS: Requires knowledge of machining technology, electrical codes, mechanical principles, advanced shop mathematics, job layout and precision measuring procedures, setups, tooling application, and operating methods. Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds and move heavier objects with proper equipment. Capable of operating a hoist/lifting equipment safely and effectively. Requirements

  • 3+ years of maintenance experience in a plastics or manufacturing setting
  • Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to read technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Flexibility to work various shifts and respond to emergency calls
  • A strong work ethic and team-oriented attitude
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Requires knowledge of machining technology, electrical codes, mechanical principles, advanced shop mathematics, job layout and precision measuring procedures, setups, tooling application, and operating methods.
  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds and move heavier objects with proper equipment.
  • Capable of operating a hoist/lifting equipment safely and effectively.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with PLCs, robotics, and automated systems is a plus
  • Accredited journeyman apprenticeship in machine repair preferred

Responsibilities

  • Performing preventative and corrective maintenance on injection molding machines, extruders, and auxiliary equipment
  • Troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
  • Diagnosing and repairing equipment failures quickly to minimize downtime
  • Collaborating with production and engineering teams to optimize machine performance
  • Maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities and parts inventory
  • Assisting in equipment installations and upgrades
  • Ensuring compliance with safety standards and company policies
