About The Position

POSITION PURPOSE: Production support and maintenance of all electrical and mechanical equipment, controls, and instrumentation in designated area. Involvement in plant projects to assure reliability and maintainability with plant resources. ANY AND ALL OTHER DUTIES ASSIGNED BY LEADERSHIP

Requirements

  • 2 years Industrial Maintenance in fast paced environment
  • Schreiber Maintenance Mechanic Level 2 Ramsay Test – if applicant is a current maintenance partner, they must pass level 2 test by the end of current training program. Failure to pass level 2 test will result in loss of bid position
  • Maintenance Technician industrial maintenance experience is required. Experience including but not limited to: Use of tools and meters, Pneumatics and hydraulics, Lubrication of bearings and seals, drives and transmissions, use and reading of prints, ammonia systems, air compressors and dryers, hot and cold water systems, engines and air handlers.
  • Candidate must be adept in performing maintenance and repairs in high tech pieces of equipment.
  • Candidate must be willing to preform electrical and mechanical installations.
  • You must be willing to work in high stress situations including bringing systems on-line and up to meeting production goals.
  • Candidate must be knowledgeable in fabrication for food grade facilities.
  • Partner should be knowledgeable in areas of electronic fundamentals and Motor Control Centers.
  • Candidate should excel in analyzing and solving problems with various electrical and mechanical controls systems.

  • Must be willing to work any schedule/shift as needed
  • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds

Responsibilities

  • Must have excellent communication skills and be able to communicate in English (be able to write, read, speak and understand)
  • Respond to production calls for equipment maintenance (failure, troubleshooting, malfunction, etc.)
  • Repair and modifications to production equipment to maintain and/or increase efficiency
  • PLC programming of additions, upgrades, and enhancements
  • Cross over with other shifts and communicate daily information
  • Clean and maintain areas of responsibility according to Schreiber standards
  • Help develop, maintain and monitor routes using UE
  • Perform condition based monitoring routes on plant assets
  • Assist in collecting data with the Vibration Analysis technician
  • Help develop routes and PM’s as new maintenance reliability tools are introduced
  • Perform collection of oil samples and send samples for analysis
  • Assist maintenance partners in replacing components identified as needing replaced through the use of reliability tools
  • Take pictures and create Visual Work Instructions for PM’s, routes, etc.
  • Assist in developing Criticality assessments on plant assets
  • Assist in reviewing PM Optimization on all plant assets
  • Use and apply ORACLE/EAM for required work functions
  • Utilize reliability tools for process improvement and increased reliability of our assets
  • Perform all process CP, CCP, QP, and CQP checks required for the position
  • Follow reaction plans for Food Safety, Food Quality and customer requirement deviations
  • Be able to identify and understand customer requirements and assist in assuring proper production operation
  • Demonstrate identity of product and, record accurate data on production reports
  • Train operators on safety and proper equipment operation
  • Maintain stock of essential spare parts inventory
  • Continuous improvement in skills and knowledge of improvements in automation industry
  • Design and installation of new equipment
  • Maintain documentation libraries for production equipment and upgrades
  • Assists other mechanics outside primary department assignment.
  • Assist in audits and audit preparation
