About The Position

Location: Construction and Facilities Management Office, 6700 East J Street, Hastings NE Job Duties: Maintains all the grounds and landscape to include using chemicals Operating power tools such as mowers, snow removal equipment and a variety of tools of the trade Performs unskilled and semi-skilled building maintenance Utilizes a computer to document maintenance of equipment Check and stock inventory of supplies Clean public areas to ensure sanitation and safety are maintained Other duties as assigned Starting hourly pay rate is $16.520.

Requirements

• No specific education, training, or experience is required.
• Background/motor vehicle request checks will be required.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Knowledge of grounds keeping practices
• Skill in the use of hand tools, power tools and building maintenance equipment
• Ability to communicate and understand follow instructions

Responsibilities

• Maintains all the grounds and landscape to include using chemicals
• Operating power tools such as mowers, snow removal equipment and a variety of tools of the trade
