Maintenance Technician - We Will Train!
About The Position
The Housing Company has an immediate opening for a Maintenance Technician at the Oak Street and Bristlecone Apartments in Sandpoint, Idaho. This role is for motivated individuals eager to learn and grow, with no prior experience necessary as training and support will be provided. As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for the maintenance of the complexes, including individual apartment units and the grounds, with occasional work at other complexes as needed. This position offers a great opportunity to develop skills in carpentry, electrical, plumbing, painting, and groundskeeping.
Requirements
- A positive attitude and eagerness to learn
- Ability to prioritize tasks and follow through on commitments
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Valid driver's license and active auto insurance
- Availability to answer and respond to after-hours emergency maintenance calls on a company provided cell phone
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check
Responsibilities
- Perform general repairs in individual apartments and across the complex, including but not limited to, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliances, painting, and overall groundskeeping
- Conduct preventive maintenance on buildings
- Complete apartment turns in a timely manner, without sacrificing quality
- Keep work areas clean and organized
- Maintain an inventory of supplies and tools
- Perform seasonal tasks such as mowing and snow/ice removal
- Other duties as assigned
