About The Position

The 1st shift Maintenance Technician will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems on production equipment (i.e., Mazak CNC's) to ensure maximum uptime and efficiency. You will play a critical role in minimizing production interruptions by performing preventive maintenance, diagnosing equipment issues, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate has strong technical knowledge, a proactive attitude, and experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Requirements

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, including whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentage and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to analyze data and workload
Ability to establish priorities for completing projects

Responsibilities

Plan, coordinate, and execute manufacturing shop floor activities
Works with manufacturing personnel and address open issues on general machine and shop maintenance
Assists in developing and performing preventive maintenance as required.
Work closely with the manufacturing planner to ensure scope and alignment of scheduled projects.
Ensures all projects are properly aligned with required materials, tools, and equipment before starting up.
Develops and maintains a "pit crew" portable cart to house all necessary tools and equipment, and miscellaneous materials.
Assumes various roles in the manufacturing process as directed by the plant manager in emergency situations.
Conducts maintenance and housekeeping audits and address issues as needed including trash bins.
Performs other miscellaneous minor maintenance duties in the buildings pending plant manager approval.
Maintains a safe work environment when performing all projects and clean up area accordingly.
