Your opportunity We’re currently looking for a Maintenance Technician at our Huhtamaki, Inc. facility in Andalusia, AL and you should be within reasonable commuting distance from here. You will be working 7pm – 7am, 2 nights on – 2 nights off, and every other weekend.

Requirements

Physically capable of moderate to heavy physical efforts equivalent to frequently lifting or moving average weight of parts or materials over 50% of the time
Continuous mental and visual attention when preforming diversified operations of activities that require constant alertness
Twisting, crouching, pushing/pulling, climbing, bending, kneeling, and standing is required over 50% of the time
Work schedule of 12-hour shifts, with additional overtime possible.
Must be flexible to work different shifts
Must have the ability to stand, walk and bend frequently during the shift
Candidate must have the ability to work in various ambient temperatures, climb stairs, bend, crouch, twist as needed

Nice To Haves

High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred
Industrial Maintenance experience is a plus

Responsibilities

Observe all Huhtamaki safety rules and always use safe working methods and procedures to avoid injury, injury to co-workers, or damage to company property.
Exercise the skills to stick weld and mig weld
Actively support operations, safety, sanitation, building, and quality goals for the plant
Provide technical leadership and support to the production areas
Responsible for the timely repair and maintenance of the equipment used to print and form product
Meet the company’s general requirements for safety, attendance, productivity, and quality
Communicate effectively with supervisors, lead persons, and operators on all work-related matters
Other duties as assigned
