About The Position

The Maintenance Technician at Titan Florida, LLC is responsible for ensuring the proper functioning and maintenance of equipment at the Estero aggregates plant. This role involves performing safety checks, conducting preventative maintenance, and assisting with repairs while adhering to safety regulations. The technician will work closely with supervision to maintain equipment and ensure operational efficiency.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED and on-job training.
  • At least 1 year of experience in plant maintenance.
  • Ability to speak, read and write the English language.
  • Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions sufficient to carry out repair orders and understand maintenance records and equipment specifications.
  • Basic knowledge of mathematics and fractions for hardware.
  • Ability to maintain basic records for repair work done.
  • Ability to perform assigned tasks properly and in a timely manner.
  • Thorough knowledge of occupational hazards, MSHA regulations, and related safety practices.
  • Knowledge of principles and practices used to diagnose equipment issues.
  • Ability to interpret service manuals, diagrams, and schematics.
  • Ability to task train other personnel and lead repair jobs.

Responsibilities

  • Perform all required safety checks and follow all safety rules and regulations (Titan & MSHA).
  • Ensure there is no material contamination and inspect the plant for deficiencies while the plant is running.
  • Perform welding, grinding, and cutting as required.
  • Grease lubrication points throughout the plant on a regular basis and as directed.
  • Assist supervision in complex repairs to the plant and other systems on site.
  • Have a general understanding of conveyors, crushers, screens, screws, and other aggregate processing equipment.
  • Perform preventative maintenance inspections on fixed and mobile equipment (water truck, forklift, manlift, etc.).
  • Assist with troubleshooting and diagnosis when problems arise.
  • Communicate efficiently with the Lead and Manager.
  • Maintain records of work performed to assist in tracking equipment history.
  • Maintain exterior, interior shop and work area cleanliness.
  • Proficiently operate a forklift, manlift, water truck, and other service equipment as required.
