About The Position
The Maintenance Technician at Freedom Village Holland plays a crucial role in ensuring the overall upkeep of residential apartments and public areas within the retirement community. This position is essential for maintaining a safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment for residents. The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for performing a variety of maintenance tasks that require general repair techniques, tools, and equipment. This includes both routine and emergency repairs, such as correcting electrical malfunctions, repairing plumbing fixtures, and maintaining HVAC systems. The technician will work closely with other maintenance personnel and will be expected to respond promptly to emergency calls for system and equipment failures. Timeliness and attention to detail are critical, as the technician will need to complete work orders efficiently while documenting all pertinent information regarding the tasks performed. In addition to technical skills, the Maintenance Technician must demonstrate strong communication abilities, as they will interact with residents and staff regularly. The role requires flexibility and integrity, as well as a commitment to maintaining a dependable and punctual attendance record. The technician will also assist in maintaining proper levels of materials and supplies to ensure that all maintenance tasks can be completed efficiently.
