As the Maintenance Technician at Clean Earth, your primary responsibility will be to maintain the excellent condition and operational readiness of our facility. This role involves conducting diagnostic assessments, scheduling, and performing repairs and maintenance on all plant equipment. You will be tasked with developing preventative maintenance procedures, documenting completed work orders, and performing various assignments to ensure a safe, clean, healthy, and efficient facility. This position is physically active and requires the ability to maneuver around heavy equipment, which includes bending, climbing, crawling, and manual dexterity. You will frequently lift and carry objects weighing approximately 40 pounds. If you are a versatile individual with a strong knowledge of industrial electric systems, pump repair, forklift repairs, and plumbing, this position would be an excellent fit for you. To qualify for this role, candidates must possess a high school diploma or GED, be mechanically inclined, and demonstrate a willingness to learn. By law, applicants must be at least 18 years of age. Preferred qualifications include an associate degree from a two-year college or technical school in a related field, knowledge of hazardous material handling, and OSHA training. Additionally, candidates should have at least 2 years of maintenance work experience, particularly with pumps, gearboxes, and loader machinery. Effective communication in English is essential as you will interact with internal staff. The successful candidate will also be required to pass a physical examination, drug test, and DEA background check.
