About The Position

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, installation, and repair. Must be capable of doing all work with little or no supervision. Assists the supervisor in making economic decisions on the repair of equipment. Maintains a neat and orderly work area.

Requirements

• High School Graduate or equivalent.
• Experience with heavy equipment (forklift, front loader, etc.).
• Extensive hand/power tool experience.
• Basic math, reading comprehension, and writing skills.
• Work long hours doing repetitive motions in any weather.
• Ability to work M-F 6:00 AM – 4:00 PM with mandatory overtime (OT after normal shift and weekends).
• Work weekends as needed.
• Manages time effectively.
• Must be willing to help out in other departments as needed.
• Ability to work independently or as a team.
• Ability to read and write in English.
• Dependable.
• Must pass background check and drug screening.

Nice To Haves

• Prior Maintenance background.
• Safety (OSHA) experience.
• Experience with basic welding.

Responsibilities

• Perform calibration testing of temperature probes and torque wrenches as needed.
• Maintain and log calibration test results.
• Maintain safe and clean work area.
• Perform basic operator maintenance (grease equipment, clean filters, change small fittings).
• Safety check equipment at facility.
• Complete electronic training monthly.
• Participate in daily shift meetings.
• Perform daily preventative maintenance on equipment as needed.
• Comply with all company policies and procedures.
• Identify safety hazards in the workplace.
• Any other duties assigned by manager.
