About The Position

The 2nd Shift Industrial Maintenance Technician position in the Glass Industry is a critical role that involves performing a variety of maintenance tasks to ensure the smooth operation of production machines and plant facilities. This position is not open for submissions from outside staffing agencies and requires working the night shift starting at 3:00 PM. The pay is $26 per hour, depending on experience, with weekly pay and quarterly safety bonus opportunities. The working hours are Monday to Friday from 3 PM to 11:30 PM, with overtime as needed and 1-2 weekends a month. Benefits start on DAY ONE.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3-5 years industrial maintenance/electrical plant experience.
  • Minimum high school education and/or vocational school.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must be able to read and understand electrical schematics.
  • Knowledge of 480v 3 phase/270v/110v/24vdc.
  • Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
  • Able to use Multimeter efficiently.
  • Proficient at troubleshooting electrical issues.
  • VFD troubleshooting and programming knowledge.
  • Basic understanding of PLCs.
  • Knowledge of CNC control systems.
  • Knowledge of potentiometers/servos/drives/encoders.
  • Must be able to read a tape measure.
  • Must be able to lift to 75 lbs. independently.
  • Must be able to work overtime with flexible starting times.
  • Must be able to work 1-2 weekends a month.
  • Regular and predictable attendance.

Responsibilities

  • Performing highly diversified duties to install and maintain production machines and the plant facility's equipment.
  • Providing emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performing scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service.
  • Performing mechanic skills including mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
  • Troubleshooting and repairing production machines.
  • Diagnosing problems, replacing or repairing parts, testing, and making adjustments.
  • Performing regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment, and plant facilities.
  • Detecting faulty operations or defective material and reporting those and any unusual situations to proper supervision.
