About The Position

As a maintenance technician associate, you are a pillar supporting the operation at our properties. The team ensures that all mechanical systems and equipment at the building are operational and properly maintained. Additionally, our team members are attentive and diligently work to ensure that all common areas are maintained in both an aesthetically appealing and disinfected condition.

Requirements

• Critical thinking, problem solving, judgement and decision-making abilities are necessary.
• Ability to maintain positivity and diplomacy in a fast-paced environment.
• Possess strong maintenance and repair skills, including painting, carpentry, plumbing, and electricity.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine walking inspections of floors in order to identify problems and report them to supervisors.
• Maintains work equipment in good working condition.
• Performs maintenance repairs in the common areas such as drywall, carpentry, electrical work, HVAC, plumbing, painting, flooring, and other general repairs.
• Ensures all safety precautions are followed while performing work.
• While following safety procedures, performs casual labor (e.g., such as moving heavy items) as directed by supervisors.
• Performs maintenance replacement and repair in areas of carpentry, electrical work, plumbing, mechanical, painting, flooring, and other minor building repairs as long as a permit is not required to conduct the job.
• Must be able to properly utilize new equipment and follow safety procedures prior to using this equipment.
• Routinely walk floors, including the roof, to check for problems and lights out, and report findings to supervisors.
• Maintain a positive and cooperative working relationship with building staff to ensure smooth operations.
• Complete daily work orders as scheduled, ensuring timely and efficient maintenance.
• Properly perform casual labor tasks, such as lifting and moving heavy items, as directed by supervisors, following appropriate safety procedures.
• Properly utilize new equipment, following all safety procedures prior to and during use to ensure safe and effective operation.
