About The Position
Broetje Automation is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our team in North Charleston, SC. This full-time position is critical to maintaining our highly specialized, robotic-controlled, automated fastening machines that are essential for assembling aircraft at the Boeing South Carolina facility. As the world's leading expert and OEM in aircraft manufacturing automation and robotics, Broetje Automation operates globally, with locations in Germany, the USA, France, the United Kingdom, China, and Japan. In the US, we have facilities in Charleston (SC), Savannah (GA), Wichita (KS), Mobile (AL), and Seattle (WA). In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing maintenance requirements on the Broetje Automated Fuselage Equipment and related support equipment. You will follow operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications to troubleshoot malfunctions. Your expertise will be vital in locating sources of problems by observing mechanical and electrical assemblies in operation, listening for issues, and using precision measuring equipment and test fixtures. You will dismantle assemblies using hand and power tools, hoists, and cranes to remove defective parts, and adjust functional parts of tooling and equipment according to written specifications in the OEM documentation. Preventive maintenance is a key aspect of this position, as you will control downtime by performing routine maintenance on equipment in compliance with OEM standards. Additionally, you will maintain equipment, parts, and supplies inventories, prepare mechanical maintenance reports, and ensure a safe and clean working environment by adhering to procedures, rules, and regulations. Your contributions will be essential to the team effort, as you will accomplish related results as needed.
