Requirements

• Journeyman's status in maintenance, preferably in machine repair, millwright, electrical, or equivalent education and experience.
• Ability to attain a lift truck/forklift license.
• Pass all training, including internal and external Hazwoper training.
• Ability to read and write and follow instructions in general work orders.
• Demonstrated ability to be trained on the computer system used in the maintenance department.
• Basic mathematical ability for accurate assessments and measurements.
• Demonstrated ability to lift 50 pounds on limited occasions and 25 pounds daily.
• Ability to climb ladders, kneel for extended periods, and balance on platforms.
• Pass a HAZMAT physical, including pulmonary function test and mask fit.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repair tasks on machinery and equipment.
• Read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
• Operate basic metalworking tools to maintain and repair parts.
• Weld as necessary for repairs.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Attend training exercises, including those scheduled during off shifts and non-work hours.
• Work overtime as scheduled, including weekends as needed.
