About The Position

The Maintenance Technician at FDC Management, Inc. plays a crucial role in ensuring resident satisfaction through effective maintenance and customer service. The technician is responsible for completing maintenance tasks, managing service requests, and maintaining the community's curb appeal, all while adhering to safety standards and regulations.

Requirements

  • Must have excellent communication, written and verbal skills
  • Excellent customer service approach to property owners and tenants
  • Superior customer service skills including the ability to manage difficult customers and/or situations
  • Positive attitude promoting teamwork and career-oriented goals
  • Punctual, dependable, self-starter with the ability to multitask
  • Knowledge of all policies and procedures, State and Federal Landlord and Fair Housing Laws
  • High School Diploma or equivalency
  • Cell phone, tools, and vehicle to complete job responsibilities
  • EPA and CPO preferred but not required
  • Must have the physical capacity to walk briskly, climb stairs, and conduct visual inspections
  • Must be computer literate
  • Must have strong English speaking and writing skills
  • Minimum of two (2) years residential property management experience with 200+ units
  • Able to work under pressure, prioritize competing demands, and meet deadlines
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule to include weekends, evenings, and holidays if needed
  • Must be able to lift 80-100 lbs on a regular basis
  • Must be able to walk up and down stairs on a regular basis
  • Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation with insurance and registration
  • Must be available for rotating night/weekend on-call duty
  • Applicants must pass the pre-employment physical, drug and alcohol test, and background check to be eligible for hire

Responsibilities

  • Completing required tasks as assigned by the Community Manager and Maintenance Supervisor
  • Completing assigned service requests within 24 hours
  • Handling resident relations with tact, diplomacy, and courteous communications
  • Assisting in maintaining beautiful curb appeal for the community
  • Assisting in the turnover of vacant units
  • Maintaining company safety standards
  • Conducting daily pool chemical readings and upkeep
