About The Position
As a Maintenance Technician at our local plastics manufacturing facility, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our production equipment. Your primary responsibility will be to perform daily checks on plastic injection molding machines and other production equipment to prevent malfunctions and reduce machine downtime. This position requires a proactive approach to maintenance, where you will be expected to conduct preventive maintenance (PM) tasks, basic repairs, and inspections to ensure all machinery operates efficiently and safely. In this role, you will be responsible for performing PMs, basic repairs, and inspections, as well as adjusting and/or replacing worn parts. You will document all work performed and maintain an inventory of supplies used by the maintenance department. Your expertise will also extend to inspecting and maintaining electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic components, ensuring that all equipment safety features are operational. Additionally, you will be tasked with maintaining cleanliness standards in accordance with 5S principles and utilizing safety equipment as appropriate for the work being performed. The Maintenance Technician position may also involve performing other plant PM or repairs, including lighting and auxiliary equipment. You will be expected to work independently with minimal supervision, demonstrating strong time management skills and the ability to communicate effectively with team members.
