About The Position

This "Floater" position is a critical hybrid role at R&R Solutions, blending facility maintenance with production support. The successful candidate will be a vital part of the maintenance team while also being flexible enough to support warehouse operations during peak times. The primary focus involves a variety of indoor and outdoor general maintenance duties, including proactive upkeep, technical repairs (plumbing, HVAC, electrical), safety compliance, special projects (carpentry, painting, event setup), and groundskeeping. Additionally, the role provides strategic backup for production and warehouse operations, assisting with high-volume "rush orders" by picking, packing, and shipping. It also includes inventory management using equipment like forklifts, quality control of incoming products, and maintaining a clean and organized warehouse floor.

Requirements

  • At least 1+ years of related general repair or "handyman" experience.
  • Comfortable using a variety of hand and power tools.
  • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
  • Ability to spend the majority of your shift standing, walking, bending, or climbing ladders.
  • A valid driver's license.
  • A clean driving record are required for operating company vehicles.
  • A strong desire to work in a "floater" capacity.
  • Enjoy a fast-paced environment where priorities can shift from a plumbing repair to a warehouse rush in the same afternoon.
  • Ability to follow detailed work orders.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both the Facilities and Production managers.
  • Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the overall effective operation of our facility.
  • Perform a variety of indoor and outdoor general maintenance duties to ensure a safe and professional environment.
  • Troubleshoot and perform essential repairs involving plumbing (leaks/clogs), HVAC (filter changes/basic checks), and electrical systems (ballasts/outlets/lighting).
  • Conduct monthly safety inspections on all machinery and equipment.
  • Document safety checks to ensure compliance with all safety regulations.
  • Assist with carpentry tasks, painting, and setting up special event spaces or company luncheons.
  • Ensure the exterior of the building is well-maintained, including minor repairs to the grounds and ensuring walkways are clear and safe.
  • Pivot to the warehouse floor to assist with picking, packing, and shipping orders accurately during high-volume "rush orders."
  • Use forklifts, pallet jacks, and dollies to move materials from receiving docks to designated storage racks or bins.
  • Inspect incoming products for damage, report discrepancies, and assist in unloading shipments from delivery trucks.
  • Maintain a clean and organized warehouse floor, ensuring that materials are easily accessible for the production team.
