About The Position
Position Summary: Performs semi skilled work in the maintenance and repair of buildings and associated equipment/systems. Responds to emergency situations as necessary.
Requirements
- High School diploma/GED
- General knowledge/skills of the following: – minor HVAC – minor electrical – minor plumbing – minor carpentry – minor repair of doors/windows, including hardware – painting, including minor wall repair – general building maintenance – mechanical aptitude – respond to various alarms (fire, elevator entrapment, sprinkler, leaks, etc.
- Must possess maturity in judgment, have demonstrated professionalism, creativity, and ability to get along with widely diverse personalities
- Basic computer skills
- Minimum of 5 years experience performing minor HVAC, minor electrical, etc
- Individual must have a valid drivers license and be insurable by the University, which includes maintaining a low risk driving record

- Trades related certifications/training (documentation required)
