Position Summary: Performs semi skilled work in the maintenance and repair of buildings and associated equipment/systems. Responds to emergency situations as necessary.
High School diploma/GED
General knowledge/skills of the following: – minor HVAC – minor electrical – minor plumbing – minor carpentry – minor repair of doors/windows, including hardware – painting, including minor wall repair – general building maintenance – mechanical aptitude – respond to various alarms (fire, elevator entrapment, sprinkler, leaks, etc.
Must possess maturity in judgment, have demonstrated professionalism, creativity, and ability to get along with widely diverse personalities
Basic computer skills
Minimum of 5 years experience performing minor HVAC, minor electrical, etc
Individual must have a valid drivers license and be insurable by the University, which includes maintaining a low risk driving record
Monitor Metasys HVAC control systems
Refrigerant recovery certification
Trades related certifications/training (documentation required)
