About The Position

Morgan Properties offers a full-time paid training program, the Fix It Forward Program, designed to train individuals to become Maintenance Technicians. No prior apartment maintenance experience is required. The program is suitable for dependable individuals who are eager to learn and enjoy hands-on work. The training lasts 3 to 6 months and is structured into three levels: Beginner (focusing on safety, tools, and basic tasks), Intermediate (involving more repairs with less supervision), and Advanced (handling complex work, preparing for a permanent role). Participants receive on-the-job training, company-paid EPA & CPO certifications, and pay raises as they progress through each training level, ultimately leading to a permanent Maintenance Technician position.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic maintenance tasks
• Execute repairs with increasing complexity
• Handle complex maintenance work
• Learn and apply HVAC basics
• Learn and apply plumbing basics
• Learn and apply electrical basics
• Perform appliance repair
• Conduct apartment turns
• Engage in groundskeeping duties
• Perform preventative maintenance
• Provide customer service
• Adhere to safety procedures
• Work both indoors and outdoors
• Lift tools and materials as required
• Travel to nearby sister properties for training
