About The Position

Mallory Alexander International Logistics, a global third-party logistics company (3PL) headquartered in Memphis, TN has an immediate opening for a Logistics Professional to join our team! The Maintenance Technician Supervisor is responsible for providing expert, hands-on technical support and leadership for the maintenance, repair, and optimal function of automated logistics systems. This role coordinates daily work assignments for the technical team, ensuring safety, efficiency, and adherence to quality standards. Acting as team lead, this role bridges management and technical teams, ensuring systems run efficiently.

Requirements

  • Technical degree or equivalent experience in Electromechanics, Mechatronics, or Industrial Maintenance.
  • 5+ years of extensive hands-on experience with complex automated/mechanical systems, including strong experience in a Lead Technician or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of automated systems, PLCs, and mechatronics.
  • Proficient with MS Office and maintenance management systems.
  • Excellent technical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Willingness to work rotating shifts, weekends, and respond to after-hours emergencies as required.

Responsibilities

  • Provide hands-on, expert-level diagnosis and troubleshooting of complex mechanical and electrical issues, and lead root cause analysis to prevent recurrence.
  • Perform and lead inspections, testing, preventive maintenance, and repairs on automated storage and retrieval systems, box conveyors, and related equipment.
  • Coordinate day-to-day work assignments of facility technicians, managing workflow to maximize system uptime and operational efficiency.
  • Ensure strict adherence to safety regulations, legal requirements, and quality standards in all maintenance and repair activities.
  • Conduct on-the-job training and coaching of team members on technical systems and standard operating procedures, acting as a technical mentor.
  • Interface with and monitor external contractors and service providers to ensure the quality and compliance of contracted work.
  • Maintain the documentation and system logs for all maintenance activities; monitor, prepare, and report on operational statistics and service metrics.
  • Assist with shift scheduling and daily operational staffing coordination.
  • Assist with the organization and procurement of consumables and spare parts.
  • Ensure workplace safety, cleanliness, and organization in all operational areas.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to planning and organizational tasks as needed.
