About The Position

In addition to development, Legacy Partners provides management services for our own portfolio and other owners. The Maintenance Technician Supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day and overall maintenance of the apartment community under the direction of the Business Manager. This is a full-time, on-site position with a Monday through Friday schedule and requires availability for on-call emergencies.

Requirements

  • Experience in maintenance or a related field.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks and work in various weather conditions.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of safety procedures and regulations.

  • Previous supervisory experience.
  • Certifications in HVAC, plumbing, or electrical work.
  • Experience in property management.

Responsibilities

  • Perform minor repairs on appliances, plumbing, electrical fixtures, and household items.
  • Replace damaged flooring, fixtures, locks, and appliances.
  • Handle basic pest control as needed.
  • Paint apartment interiors and exteriors.
  • Complete light carpentry such as fixing doors, windows, shelving, and floors.
  • Help with cleaning apartments and common areas.
  • Sweep, mop, vacuum, remove trash, and clean windows.
  • Pick up trash and maintain landscaping as needed.
  • Prepare apartments for new residents.
  • Assist with inspections, repairs, and replacements before move-ins.
  • Maintain accurate turnover records.
  • Perform scheduled equipment maintenance.
  • Inspect units and buildings regularly.
  • Know all utility shut-offs and ensure proper signage and team awareness.
  • Keep maintenance records, work orders, inventory logs, and purchase orders.
  • Monitor vendor services and support property standards and safety policies.
  • Provide clear communication during service calls.
  • Help educate residents on appliances, laundry, and basic maintenance through the Resident Education Program.
  • Supervise and train maintenance staff.
  • Maintain tools and supplies.
  • Lead monthly safety meetings and complete quarterly safety inspections.
  • Work with management to schedule inspections, support operations, and attend company training.
  • Participate in emergency on-call rotation including nights, weekends, and holidays.
