About The Position

We are looking for a Rolling Stock Maintenance Technician to join our Scotts Miracle Gro team in Groveland, FL! The hourly rate for this position at Scotts/Hawthorne will generally fall between $27.35 - 35.55 per hour and is paid weekly. Scotts/Hawthorne will consider various factors in determining the actual pay including your skills, qualifications, experience, and geographical location.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills; able to accurately diagnose and repair equipment.
• Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds on an as-needed basis.
• Must be able to stand, sit, walk, stoop and bend for extended periods of time.
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be able to work with machine operators, mechanics and contractors and/or vendors.
• Must be able to work the required shift.

Nice To Haves

• Experience using CMMS is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Owns local maintenance program on rolling stock including forklifts, truck carried forklifts, loaders, pick up trucks and other types of rolling stock at the plant.
• Performs repair and maintenance on the rolling stock associated with the plant, including electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic repairs.
• Maintains records of jobs performed to develop a history of repairs for preventative maintenance.
• Ensures record keeping meets or exceeds DOT and regulatory requirements for over the road equipment.
• Maintains and executes daily, weekly, monthly and yearly PMs on rolling stock equipment.
• Works with leadership to optimize uptime of rolling stock to meet operational demands.
• Manages relationships with Rolling Stock vendors to ensure third party maintenance needs are met and serviced in a timely manner.
• Builds strong relationships with rolling stock operators to enable a proactive approach to rolling stock repairs.
