Requirements

  • Associates degree or technical training preferred; 1-3 years of related experience or equivalent combination.
  • Able to read and follow safety rules, manuals and write basic reports.
  • Basic computer skills including email, documentation and maintenance tracking systems.
  • Comfortable with basic math and troubleshooting practical issues.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs., work on your feet and perform hands-on tasks in various positions (kneeling, climbing, crawling).

Responsibilities

  • Perform general electrical repairs including but not limited to replacing light switches, receptacles, light fixture ballasts and replacing bulbs etc.
  • Run minor 480/277/120-volt electrical circuits when required.
  • Diagnose and repair electrical issues on shop equipment and controls using electrical schematics, blueprints, and service manuals.
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical issues on major shop production equipment.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance, calibrations, and repairs on shop welders.
  • Coordinate with Equipment Operations Supervisor and shop foreman to schedule equipment vendors for complex repairs.
  • Monitor Maintenance Request emails and provide timely acknowledgements and status updates to requestors.
  • Maintain and repair compressed air/pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
  • Develop and follow a preventative maintenance schedule for all major production equipment.
  • Maintain documentation for all equipment preventative maintenance activities and results.
  • Maintain critical spare parts lists with part numbers, suppliers and lead times for all shop production equipment.
  • Perform and document monthly inspections.
  • Support our remote office needs as requested.
  • Assist in general facilities repairs including but not limited to repairing or replacing door closers, handles, locks and seals. Maintenance of driveways, sidewalks, shop floors and gates.
  • Demonstrate a willingness to learn about our unique shop machinery.
  • Promote and maintain a safe and Lean working environment.
  • Actively participate in TPM and Lean initiatives.
  • Other duties as assigned.
