About The Position

The Maintenance Technician at Embassy Suites by Hilton Oklahoma City Will Rogers Airport is responsible for ensuring the overall operation and maintenance of the hotel. This part-time position focuses on maintaining the appearance and functionality of the hotel, overseeing maintenance staff, and ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards. The role requires a commitment to guest satisfaction and effective communication with management and staff.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience with Marriott, Hilton, IHG, Wyndham, or Hyatt processes and standards.
  • Ability to speak, read, write, and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace.
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Basic computational and computer skills.
  • Knowledge of mechanical equipment such as chillers, boilers, and refrigeration equipment.
  • Thorough knowledge of plumbing and electrical systems.
  • Experience in office procedures, ordering materials, and securing bids.
  • Working knowledge of federal, state, and local laws governing employment and safety.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

  • Maintain the overall operation of the maintenance department and the appearance and working order of the hotel.
  • Administer the company's maintenance and life safety programs, including purchasing and preventative maintenance.
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of the maintenance staff, ensuring compliance with procedures and policies.
  • Monitor budget and control departmental expenses, including maintenance contracts and utility expenses.
  • Participate in the preparation of the annual departmental operating budget and capital plans.
  • Ensure compliance with all company, state, local, and federal policies regarding maintenance and safety.
  • Oversee the proper operation of the hotel's equipment and systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
  • Handle maintenance request orders promptly and courteously, logging and following up on requests.
  • Hire, train, supervise, and evaluate maintenance department associates.
  • Communicate regularly with management regarding the condition of the building and systems.
  • Supervise external contractors performing maintenance work.
