About The Position

Nucor Towers and Structures (NTS) is a new entity within Nucor, focused on the execution of our strategy to 'Expand Beyond' our core business. The current production facility is in West Hazleton, PA, with greenfield sites going up in Decatur, AL and Crawfordsville, IN. We are seeking a maintenance technician to be actively engaged in supporting a new team that takes ownership over safety, electrical, and mechanical maintenance functions of the Towers and Structures facility. The maintenance technician will support a production line in Decatur, AL. The Maintenance Technician will be working 3rd shift. The site will feature state-of-the-art machinery for advanced steel manufacturing, and the team will be responsible for safely maximizing equipment productivity and uptime.

Requirements

• High School Diploma, GED or relevant work experience
• At least 2 years of experience in the Industrial Maintenance industry
• Must be able to demonstrate willingness/ability mentioned above in the Basic Job Function

Nice To Haves

• Industrial Maintenance Experience
• Competency with various computer and mobile applications, ex. Microsoft Office, ERP systems
• Knowledge in mechanical and hydraulic processes
• Knowledge in the electrical field
• Willing to expand and share technical knowledge

Responsibilities

• Supporting development of safe work practices and procedures for the facility
• Supporting the implementation of new equipment and technologies
• Support plant operations by safely maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and upgrading production equipment
• Attending and facilitating relevant trainings on equipment and maintenance best practices
• Working closely with all departments to plan future needs and/or improvements
