About The Position
Sierra Pacific Industries is seeking a qualified Millwright / Maintenance Technician to join our team at the sawmill in Chinese Camp, California. This position is crucial for maintaining and repairing all mechanical parts and machinery within the mill. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating various tools and equipment, including arc welders, cutting torches, hand tools, forklifts, and welding trucks. The role requires performing general maintenance tasks in a safe and efficient manner while ensuring a clean work area is maintained at all times. The job may involve occasional heavy lifting and working in both hot and cold weather environments. Flexibility is essential, as the position may require working various shifts, overtime, weekends, and holidays during busy production periods. Candidates should have a strong work ethic and a commitment to safety, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with other team members to ensure the smooth operation of the mill.
