Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Include but are not limited to the following: Safety Uses all tools, equipment, and vehicles in a safe and careful manner and for their intended use. Imperative that maintenance personnel adhere to all safety standards, procedures and policies to ensure that effective execution of duties and responsibilities Mechanics Operates cutting torches or welding equipment to cut or join metal parts. Welds parts together using both gas welding or brazing and any combination of gauges, valves, pressure regulators and related equipment. Use of power tools such as grinders, saws, drills, etc. Moves machinery and equipment such as telehandler, skid loader or forklift. Assembles machines, bolts, welds, rivets, or otherwise fastens them to foundation or other structures. Align machines and equipment. Dismantles machines. Maintenance & Repairs Repairs and lubricated machines and equipment. Maintains records of maintenance activities. Ensures that work area, equipment, and vehicles are all neat, clean, and well maintained. Other Works necessary hours as requested by manager to ensure completion of projects, response to needed maintenance requests, and provide exceptional quality service. Basic Employment Expectations: Safety Performs work in a safe manner at all times and uses the appropriate PPE. Checks the work area for hazards and corrects/reports unsafe conditions. Considers the safety of oneself, and other employees, and customers. Follows all safety protocols and seeks advice from supervisor when uncertain. Communication Maintains open communication and cooperates with supervisor, departments, and fellow employees. Communicates with supervisor and others immediately when unexpected problems cause absence, lateness, or the need to leave early. Accountability & Professionalism Abides by policies set forth in the employee policy manual. Carries a fair share of the workload. Promotes NEW Cooperative through positive, friendly, and professional interactions. Is punctual, follows directives, and works in an efficient and timely manner; accepts personal responsibility for the quality and timeliness of the work.
