About The Position

The Maintenance Technician at HP Hood is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of machinery, equipment, physical structures, and electrical systems within the facility. This role requires a self-driven individual who can work independently and as part of a team, ensuring that all equipment is in good repair and safe operating condition. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • 1-3 years of maintenance mechanic experience preferred.
  • High level of demonstrated mechanical experience and aptitude required.
  • Experience with maintenance on blow mold equipment is a plus.
  • Experience with welding, electrical systems, boilers, refrigeration, machinery repair, and PLC troubleshooting and programming.
  • Strong analytical and computer skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with blow mold equipment maintenance.

Responsibilities

  • Perform installations and preventative maintenance on plant and facility equipment.
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair manufacturing equipment including electrical and plumbing systems.
  • Repair pumps, boilers, steam systems, water systems, hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems, and any applicable fluid systems.
  • Familiarize with the plant facility and general operations.
  • Handle tools and equipment properly and use required protective gear.
  • Perform light welding, grinding, and cutting tasks.
  • Comply with all Federal, State, and Company Safety Guidelines and procedures.
  • Participate in the development of preventative maintenance procedures for various pieces of equipment.
  • Responsible for wastewater treatment operations.
  • Work with minimal supervision and be available for overtime, weekend, and holiday work.
