We are seeking a Maintenance Technician Level 3 for our First Quality Home Care Products, LLC facility in Salt Lake City, UT. Primary responsibilities include: The Maintenance Technician Level 3 is responsible to drive successful performance for an assigned area within the plant. Develops and implements standards within the area to gain efficiency improvements and production continuity. Drives results of assigned area for safety, quality, delivery, and cost. Implements and ensures compliance with standards and systems to achieve those results. Maintains quality and integrity of system data to ensure accurate reporting. Performs Behavior Based Safety observations and corrects unsafe behaviors and conditions. Works with the team to identify hazards and implement changes that improve safe work conditions. Facilitates root-cause analysis for breakdowns, quality incidents, and safety incidents within the facility. Ensures resolution of red conditions. Supports engineering projects in assigned area. Ensures successful deployment of new product trials on the line and provides feedback to site project leader. Executes capital KI projects <$25k for the area. Reviews the preventative maintenance schedule for the area assigned makes changes as necessary to ensure the equipment is maintained in a reliable state. Assists with scheduled preventative maintenance on the line. Develops and deploys the changeover standards for the line. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma Required
  • 2 - 5 years of technical experience in a manufacturing or related environment highly desired
  • Ability to effectively interact both verbally and in writing with associates at all levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of, and ability to use and apply continuous improvement theories and concepts in the workplace (i.e. Lean manufacturing, six sigma, 5S)
  • Experience and understanding
  • Ability to work collaboratively with others to achieve objectives and meet the needs of the business
  • Proficient in the use of computers for word processing, creating and maintaining spreadsheets, developing presentations, etc.
  • Must be punctual, professional, and follow safety policies and procedures on the job.
