About The Position

Overview Vista Aircraft Maintenance is seeking to hire a Lead Maintenance Technician for our Part 145 Repair Station in Van Nuys, CA . The Lead Maintenance Technician will provide leadership to a team of technicians. They will provide technical assistance and labor for any and all problems associated with aircraft repairs as well as coordinate with the aircraft maintenance supervisors to ensure safe and efficient repair and timely return to service of the aircraft. Requirements

High school diploma or GED
Must have own tools necessary for the job
Must possess excellent written and verbal communications skills in the English language
Have at least 5+ years of relevant experience working in a Part 145 environment, Part 135 experience is a plus

Responsibilities

Ensure tasks assigned by Aircraft Maintenance Supervisor are carried out by the team in an efficient manner.
Communicate with customers as to status of aircraft maintenance
Coordinate with parts department to ensure that all materials are in stock or on order to complete the project on time.
Open work orders and build maintenance books as required.
Provide inspection support as authorized by Chief Inspector.
Perform inspections, maintenance and troubleshooting of aircraft systems.
Ensure all customer aircraft are maintained in accordance with the procedures outlined in the applicable Aircraft Maintenance Manual and customers General Maintenance Manual.
Exercise good judgment in working with people in a team environment as well as in aircraft maintenance and safety
Maintain and/or repair shop facility, equipment and tooling to support operations.
